Detailed instructions for carrying out the 小法 ritual, popular in Taiwan and especially associated with the Penghu peninsula, with a claimed lineage tracing back to Southern Song Chan monk Pu'an Yinsu 普庵印肅. Required items, performative directions, and samples of talismans 符 to be used on multiple ritual occasions are all given in great detail. As the ritual is typically accompanied by percussion performed with wooden sticks on multiple hand-held small drums 法仔鼓，there is a number of call-and-response type questions and answers to be chanted by the ritual specialist and the drum-beating troupe respectively.
