註疏 Commentary

This periodical and its publisher were located in the Japanese part of Beijing (controlled by Japan after the events of the Marco Polo Bridge Incident on the 7th of July 1937 and the Japanese occupation). This periodical was published under the control of the Japanese with the aim of uniting East Asia. Its other aim was to curate the friendship between Japan and China as allies in religion. It is regarded as anti-Chinese by some researchers, due to its Japanese associations.
