A hunchbacked man nicknamed Jin Tuozi 金馱子 has a rich but greedy neighbour called Fu Lishan 富利山. Fu gets Jin's land through intrigue. Jin is very angry when he discovers the truth and plans to kill Fu. On his way to take revenge, however, he soon changes his mind because he doesn't want to do bad things. Then he suddenly falls, and magically, his back is no longer hunched. A few days later, Fu comes to Jin for help because his son has suddenly become hunchbacked. Jin tells Fu everything. Fu then knows that it is the result of his greed.
