A man called Shu Depu 舒德普 always does good things. Once he helped a man called Wang Jinglong 王景龍 to pay his debts, otherwise he would have sent his wife to the creditor. Shu has a son named Shu Zifen 舒子芬, who is favoured by a girl named Cui'e 翠娥. Shu Depu is falsely accused by an official Ma Qiansui 馬千歲 of robbing the imperial tomb. Cui'e steals a golden metal from Ma and, under the help of the couple of Wang Jinglong, releases Depu from prison. At the same time, Shu Zifen encounters the Zhengde 正德 Emperor (reigned 1505-1521) and tells him the truth. Eventually, Shu Depu is acquitted and Zifen is granted the title of Zhuangyuan 狀元 (The one who scores highest in the Imperial Examination).

There is possible creator write his name in the end page before the 沐手抄，but it's too blurry. The only word i can read is 高.
