A man called He ManZhou 何滿舟 is punished after his death because he doesn't help his poor neighbour whose mother is dying of starvation. After He's death, another man He Manliu 何滿流 forces He Manzhou's wife Liu Jintao 柳金桃 to marry him. Liu commits suicide. In the netherworld, Liu asked the god Taihe zhenren 太和真人 to relieve her husband. She asked God to transfer her husband's sin to He Manliu. She argues that her husband has sinned against his neighbour and should be punished. He Manliu has sinned against her and should also be punished. She wants He Manliu to repay her husband's sin as a atonement to her. The god agrees. Liu then rescues her husband from the netherworld. This text is a spirit writing revealed by the couple He and Liu.
