A man called Wang Qingxiang 王卿相 likes to befriend people of all classes. If someone comes to him for shelter, he will give them money and a silk belt as a token. Slowly, a "silk belt party" is formed. A man called Zhang Hanlin 張翰林 proposes marriage to a girl who doesn't want to marry him. On the day of the wedding, several people appear and snatch the bride away. Zhang thinks they are members of the Silk Belt Party, so he accuses Wang of being the Party leader. Wang is thrown into prison. The party members gather and rescue Wang. Later, the country is attacked by foreigners, and the Emperor grants Wang a general's commission to resist the enemy. Eventually, Wang wins the war and is praised.

This manuscript appears to have two title pages. 周焕文正's name is on the first title page. On the second title page, 周焕文正 appears again, along with partially illegible dates which may indicate when copying began and was completed. This name appears once again on p427 of the facsimile edition and on the final page, 437.
