This seems to be a divination (chenwei 讖緯) about the reign of the royal Zhu 朱 family during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). It obliquely describes the rise and fall of the Ming. The character 'Zhu' 朱 can be divided into two characters, '八' and 'niu' 牛. There are also other riddles related to characters in this scripture. | |||
