A story of how a family grows from poverty. A man called Chen Rong 陳榮 whose wife gives birth to sixteen sons. All of them become officials after passing the imperial examination. When Chen does business away from home, he is robbed and loses all his money. However, another man marries his daughter to him, and his second wife also gives birth to sixteen sons. Eventually the whole family is reunited.

(KA) Though the facsimile collection's title page for this text indicates that it is a lithographed edition (石印本）, examining the facsimile itself leads me to question this designation. There is no publication information anywhere within the text, and it also contains copious copying errors with corrections that make it look like a manuscript. Likewise, it does not include page numbers. The cover also includes the notation:「嚴妙凈藏」
