Introduction to the Buddhist temples of the city of Jinling 金陵 (present-day Nanjing 南京) during the periods of the Southern Dynasties (南朝 420-589) and also the Eastern Wu 吳 Dynasty (222-280) and the Eastern Jin 晉 Dynasty (317-420). During these periods, Jinlin was the capital.
