Authorship
Scholars have pointed out that the text was likely penned by Jiang Yupu 蔣予蒲 (1755-1819, also known as Jiang Yuanting 蔣元庭) in the name of 柳守元 through spirit writing. [1] [2]
As a lay devotee of the 覺源壇 and well-respected scholar-official in the imperial court, 蔣予蒲 had led the compilation of Daozang Jiyao 道藏輯要 during the Jiaqing Era.
