According to the Erliu ke 二六課 in the collection Shuibian linxia 水邊林下, Shishi daoren 石室道人, the author, may be Cheng Yuwen 程羽文 (active in the early-mid 17th century), and this book was written in 1644. it was compiled into the Xuehai leibian 学海类编 in 1831 and published by the Hanfen lou 涵芬楼 in 1920. This discourse is based on the traditional Chinese method of calculating time, the shichen 時辰 (double-hour), where two hours are one shichen and there are 12 shichens in a day.
