This text is regarded as having been proofread by Li Er 李耳, the Taisheng laojun 太上老君, and it is annotated by Jinhuazi 金華子.
Liu Yuan 劉沅 (1768-1855), the author of the preface, was the founder of the Liumen 劉門 in Sichuan 四川.
