註疏 Commentary
Mount Gezao 閣皂山, located in Zhangshu City 樟樹市, Jiangxi Province江西省, is the 36th blessed place in the system of 洞天福地 and is one of the Three Mountains of Talisman (龍虎山, 茅山, 閣皂山). It is the ancestral mountain of the Lingbao school 靈寶派 of Taoism because he famous Taoist priest Ge Xuan葛玄 (164-244), the grandfather of t Ge Xuan葛洪 (164-244), used to practice on this mountain.
Ge zao shan zhi 閣皂山志 is a relatively brief gazetteer of Mount Gezao 閣皂山 with two volumes, edited by Yu Ce 俞策 in 1586. It contains a biography of Ge Xuan 葛仙公傳.
Comparing the version in the Sandong shiyi with the version in the Zangwai daoshu 閣皂山志 - E392, although the contents of the two texts are the same, this version is两淮马裕家藏本, with an explanatory paragraph at the beginning and a record in 1873 added at the end, the handwriting of these two paragraphs is difficult to read.
