Jiuhuang xinjing zhujie 九皇新經註解 is the commentaries and annotations to 九皇新經 (full title: 太淸紫微中天北斗九皇七元救生濟死至眞妙道尊經) spirit-written by Lüzu 呂祖. The text also contains an array of verses, eulogies and prefaces ascribed to other prominent Daoist patriarch-immortals in history, primarily Zhang (Dao)ling 張(道)陵, Ge Xuan 葛玄, Xu Xun 許遜, and Sa Shoujian 薩守堅, who were revered as "The Four Great Heavenly Masters" in some schools of Daoism.
