- In this text, the character "xuan 玄" is written as "yuan 元". This is probably due to the taboo of naming.
- The story in 紅羅寳卷 - WUL113 is the same as in this edition, but the wording is different. The time periods of the two are also different. In this edition, the story is set during the reign of Xuanzong emperor of the Tang (Tang Xuanzong 唐玄宗 685-762).while in 红羅寳卷 - WUL113, it is set during the reign of Renzong Emperor of the Song (Song Renzong 宋仁宗 r.1022-1063).
