- The story in 紅羅寶卷 - J123 is the same as in this edition, but the wording is different. The time periods of the two are also different. In 紅羅寶卷 - J123, the story is set during the reign of Xuanzong emperor of the Tang (Tang Xuanzong 唐玄宗 685-762).while in this edition, it is set during the reign of Renzong Emperor of the Song (Song Renzong 宋仁宗 r.1022-1063).
