This is the Daozang jiyao edition of the canonical (Daozang) work DZ24.

Yuanshi tianzun shuo shengtian dedao jing 元始天尊說生天得道經 (translated by John Lagerwey as "Pronouncement of the Heavenly Worthy of Primordial Beginning on Living in Heaven and Obtaining the Tao") is a short summary of physiological practices written in the style of Mahayana Taoist scripture, which belongs to the Lingbao tradition.

While authorship of the scripture remains unknown, records (inscription, ritual manuals) have shown that the text would have been used for recitation in ritual contexts since as early as 980 CE. It had also inspired a few later texts in the Taoist Canon.
