Jiuhua Shanzhi is an eight-volume temple gazetteer published in 1938 in Shanghai, based on former gazetteers on this mountain. However, there are some differences from the previous ones. That is, it highlights the role of Buddhism in this mountain, including the stories about Dizang, monks, and temple donations, etc. Thus, it reserves various kinds of precious materials and adds on a relatively detailed narrative of Buddhism.
