This is a polemic text created by Furen Renyou, the abbot of Gulin Monastery in Nanjing around 1905. Furen Renyou joins the disputes between the lineages of the Vinaya tradition, as he himself belongs to the Gulin lineage of it. In this text, he emphasizes that it was Guxin Ruxin, abbot of Gulin Monastery,  who revived the Vinaya tradition during the late Ming. Thus, the Gulin Monastery should be regarded as the original seat of all the existing Vinaya lineages.
