The postface, revealed by Wen Hongdao (who presents himself as a literatus who lived under the Yuan dynasty) records in detail the participants of the spirit writing seance.

Wen da tianjun 溫大天君, also known as Wen Yuanshuai 溫元帥 (Marshal Wen), was one of south China’s most popular deities during the late imperial era, and he was frequently worshipped as a powerful martial figure who specialized in preventing or stopping outbreaks of epidemics.

The biography in this text is not the same as the 地祇上將溫太保傳 (DZ780, Hagiography of Guardian Wen, Chief General of the Earth Spirits) in ''Zhengtong Daozang''.
