Wen da tianjun shouwen jiangfu baochan is a spirit-written text for the ritual expelling of epidemics, by the power of Marshal Wen 溫元帥神, revealed by the Nanping dianseng 南屏顛僧 (i.e. Jigong 濟公), in the Jingyi tan 敬一壇 in Yanguan 鹽官鎮 (Haining district), Zhejiang.

註疏 Commentary
Each chapter is followed by the commentary explaining the words.
The postface, revealed by Wen Hongdao (who presents himself as a literatus who lived under the Yuan dynasty) records in detail the participants of the spirit writing seance.
Wen da tianjun 溫大天君, also known as Wen Yuanshuai 溫元帥 (Marshal Wen), was one of south China’s most popular deities during the late imperial era, and he was frequently worshipped as a powerful martial figure who specialized in preventing or stopping outbreaks of epidemics.
The biography in this text is not the same as the 地祇上將溫太保傳 (DZ780, Hagiography of Guardian Wen, Chief General of the Earth Spirits) in Zhengtong Daozang.
