Under the same title 花名寶卷, with the same twelve flowers (this manuscript is missing pages after October) for each month and traces of Buddhist influence such as phrases of 南無阿彌陀佛, this version is completely different from the other 花名寶卷 attached with 回郎宝巻 written about filial piety. Many pages of this current manuscript is severely damaged and thus hard to make sense of. It’s a curious manuscript because despite the structure, there is very little mentioning of filial piety or lessons on morality, rather, it seems to be saturated with descriptions of food, local traditions, and miscellaneous aspects of life in 蘇州.
