Jiuhuang Doumu jiesha yansheng zhenjing is a spirit-written scripture on animal life revealed at the Jueyuantan 覺源壇 in Beijing ca. 1806, here in the 1906 Changkan Daozang jiyao reprint.

Vincent Goossaert [ENG]: an apocalyptical scripture revealed by Doumu the the Jueyuantan 覺源壇 group in Beijing shortly before this group included it in the Daozang jiyao ca. 1806. The scriptures advocates vegatarianism and non-killing of all animals, but proposes a quantified approach to the value of different species, and therefore focuses on the protection of the most "valuable" animals, especially bovines. The scripture is divided into a series of untitled sections.
