Fanghu waishi congbian is a collection of the works of inner alchemy by Lu Xixing 陸西星, dating from the Longqing period (1567–1572), and is republished by Zheng Guanyin in 1915.

註疏 Commentary
Lu Xixing 陸西星 (1520-1606 or 1601) is the alleged founder of the Eastern Branch (Dongpai 東派) of late inner alchemy. Lu Xixing is said by some to be the main representative of the sexual interpretation of xingming shuangxiu 性命雙修 (joint cultivation of Inner Nature and Vital Force).
Lu’s works are collected in the Fanghu waishi (The External Secretary of Mount Fanghu), first published around 1571 by his friend Zhao Song 趙宋. This edition was published by Zheng Guanyin 鄭觀應 (1842-1922), a famous entrepreneur and philanthropist. The collection includes ten commentaries and four original works by Lu Xixing, not all of which bear dates. At the end of the book was attached the text of the Wuzhenpian 悟真篇.
