註疏 Commentary

• This is one of many editions of the famed 1840 revelation at Longnüsi 龍女寺. This edition was published in Chaozhou after a local spirit-writing community worshipping Guandi witnessed a miraculous intervention of the god against the Red Turbans. The account of this event (頁11-16) seems to be the only addition to the original 1840 one.
• 關帝明聖經注解 - GDZ25 and the present edition are the same edition, the others are not. In addition, there are still differences between 關帝明聖經注解 - GDZ25 and this edition. First, there are two title pages in this edition, but only one in 關帝明聖經注解 - GDZ25. Second, there is a line on the title page of 關帝明聖經注解 - GDZ25 that reads "上海掃葉山房發兌"; it doesn't appear in this edition.
• 關聖帝君明聖真經—附註解 - R3 and 關聖帝君明聖真經附注解 - GDZ44 are the same edition. Only two illustrations which appear in 關聖帝君明聖真經—附註解 - R3 are not included in 關聖帝君明聖真經附注解 - GDZ44.
• 明聖真經註釋 - R5 and 明聖真經注釋 - GDZ27 are the same edition.
