- This edition has a devotional, prayer-style opener and contains a postscript by Zhang Defang 張德方. Neither contains direct information about the creation of the Putuo Baojuan. The postscript is a 勸世文-style tract, admonishing different types of persons (scholars, farmers etc.) to live a better life.
- 普陀寶卷 - H172, 普陀觀音寳卷 - WUL188 and this edition are different editions of the same text.
