This book contains the chronicle of Lin Zhao'en 林兆恩 (1517-1598) and the biographies of Lu Wenhui 盧文輝 and Chen Zhongyu 陳衷瑜. Lu was a disciple (嫡傳弟子) of Lin and Chen was a disciple of Lin's disiples (再傳弟子).

On the title page, the date of publication is 中華民國乙卯重陽. There are two years that correspond to this date, 1915 and 1975. The first preface (弁言) was written in 中華民國二十八年 (1939), so this book should have been published after 1939. Therefore, the date of publication should be 1975.

This book contains the chronicle of Lin Zhao'en 林兆恩 (1517-1598) and the biographies of Lu Wenhui 盧文輝 and 陳衷瑜. The Chronicle of Lin Zhao'en was based on Lu Wenhui's collection and edited by Chen Zhongyu. Xiang Yu 向郁 did the proofreading. Dong Shi 董史 did the proofreading (參訂), and Hua Wan 華皖 did the recording (錄). The biography of Lu Wenhui was based on the narrative by Chen Zhongyu. Chen's biography was based on the narrative by Dong Shi.
