Leyutang yulu is a late-Imperial text on the theory and practice of Taoist Internal Alchemy complied by the disciples of Huang Shang 黃裳 (flor. 1874-1884).

註疏 Commentary

Edition specific information

The Republican reprint of the Leyutang yulu found here in the Zangwai daoshu is the same edition as that found in the Sandong shiyi: 樂育堂語錄 - K75. As is the case with many texts contained in the Zangwai daoshu, the present reproduction suffers from poor legibility.

The two reproductions vary in the following minor details.

1. The Zangwai daoshu version preserves the original title page that is lacking in the Sandong shiyi reproduction.

2. The Zangwai daoshu reproduction also alters the natural flow of recto and verso pages by concatenating several pages resulting in the elision of some original pagination. These alterations are as follows:

  • 樂育堂語錄序
    • [Guoyuan jushi 果圓居士], 頁688; 1a-2a.
      • Page 1a has been moved to the right to allow for the inclusion of the title page in the same upper section. Page 1b and 2a have been concatenated in the lower section resulting in the loss of what should be a page break between them. Page 1b should end after column 12 with 購求而. Page 2a should commence with 失之交.
    • [Liu Yunting 柳雲亭], 頁689; [2b].
      • The preface by Liu Yunting has been joined with 元吉先生語錄序 by the elision of the “fore-edge margin” ("banxin" 版心) resulting in the loss of its correct pagination as 2b.
  • 黃元吉先生語錄序
    • [Leyutang dizideng 樂育堂弟子等], 頁689; 1a-[1b].
      • The recto page has been moved to the lower section and new blank “fore-edge margin” has been inserted resulting in the loss of pagination for what should be 1b.
