註疏 Commentary
- This book is divided into six sections. The first section, "元化指南", and the other five were originally two separate books. Yi’nanzi 易南子 got the two books from 一了山人松陽老祖 and 中一老人; then he put them together, compiled and published this book.
- This book and the book of 金不換 - H104 are written by the same author. But there are differences. First, the order of the items in the catalogues is different. Second, some texts in one book do not necessarily appear in the other. Third, the titles of the same texts are not necessarily the same. On the contrary, the titles of the exact text are always different. For example, the title of an essay in 金不換 - H104 is "勸已嫁女修行", but in this book it is "勸修行媳婦加功"; the title of another essay is "泣語囑衆" in 金不換 - H104, but "正道真言" in this book. Fourth, texts with the same title are not necessarily the same. Following the last example, there is also a text entitled "正道真言" in this book, the content of which is not the same as in 金不換 - H104. Fifth, the versions in this book are always incomplete for the exact text. For example, the two groups of poems entitled "中秋月" and "謙和歌" in this book are incomplete. However, the 金不換 - H104 versions are complete. It is necessary to make a careful comparison between the two editions.
- In the paper version of this book, the ink of some characters was printed on the neighbouring pages, causing the characters to appear reversed on the neighbouring pages. This may be because the book was folded for a long time. For example, p740 and p756.
- On the final page of 元化指南, there is the publication information of the single edition of 元化指南. It is "皇清光緒二十四年嵗次戊戌端陽, 晚學胡思真為愿, 敬印三百本".
- This book and the book 無欺老祖全書 - E273 are the same edition. But there are differences. First, at the end of 無欺老祖全書 - E273, there are no pages of the list of contributors, which are kept in this book. Second, several characters are missing in 無欺老祖全書 - E273.
- In general, this book is in better condition than 無欺老祖全書 - E273. The texts are clearer. However, there are some words in 無欺老祖全書 - E273 that are clearer than in this book.
