This litany of confession, revealed by spirit-writing, narrates the teaching of Yaochi jinmu 瑤池金母 through the dialogue between 瑤池金母 and 觀自在菩薩. It belong to the Xiantiandao 先天道 tradition. Prefaces suggest it was revealed in the late Guangxu period.

In the first two prefaces, the title is 瑤池金丹懺. In the third preface, the title is 瑤池金母. At the beginning of the second volume (卷中), the title is 瑤池金母說超生度死消愆避劫金丹寳懺

- According to the preface, the woodblocks were kept in 江寧城北崇善堂, and were lost during the "war" (which war exactly is unclear).
