each line of the Jueshijing is followed by a general commentary 注 then by one or several edifying stories 證. The commentary is unsigned; the first page says 姑蘇彭氏原本. After the appended miracle story, 紀夢, the edition is dated and signed as 咸豐元年(1851)潘恩誥自序, 光緒己亥(1899)福讀書堂吳氏重刊.
