This is a text on basic Daoist knowledge, doctrines, and practices, in the style of the Three Character Classic, written by Yi Xinying 易心瑩 (1896-1976) and annotated by Peng Zongren 彭宗仁 (彭鶴年, 1904-1992).

註疏 Commentary
Yi Xinying 易心瑩 (1896-1976) was a famous Quanzhen Daoist priest in 20th century, who served as vice president of the Chinese Daoist Association 中國道教協會 (1957-1967).
The Three Character Classic is a traditional Chinese textbook for children's enlightenment, which is easy to understand and recite. Yi Xinying used this style of writing to present the richness of Daoism's basics, doctrinal ideas, history, and practice methods as a guide for people to understand Taoism.
The edition in the Zangwai daoshu 道教三字經 - E275 is published by Er’xian an 二仙庵 in Chengdu 成都 in 1939, only the Three Character text, without the commentary.
