This is an incomplete copy of a text published in Hunan related to venerating the Stove God/Kitchen God. As explained in one of the prefaces, the main text was produced when 竈君 spontaneously possessed a boy and wrote the work to admonish the world.

This is is an incomplete version of this edition, missing everything that follows 敬惜書字章第七.
As the original preface by 吳印川 explains, the main body of this text, consisting of eight sections, was written when 竈君 possessed a young student.
