There is a textual research article (考證) in this book which states that according to the reseach by Shaoshi 邵氏, the scripture Jueshijing 覺世經 consists of two separate parts, the first part with the first 167 characters is jueshi baojing 覺世寶經, the second part with the remaining 484 characters is jueshi zhenjing 覺世真經. According to the wording of the two, they must have been spirite written at different times.

The title of "關聖帝君覺世真經" was probably given by the editors of the collection, Daozang jicheng diwuji Guandi juan 道藏集成第五輯關帝卷. This title could not be found anywhere in the book.
