This book is a regular script (楷體) copybook handwritten by Cao GuangZhen's 曹廣楨. According to the title page, this book was adopted as a textbook for free schools (義塾). Children read and remembered the principles of this book, and they also practised writing regular characters with this book. “是編之刻專為義塾童子朝夕誦讀, 全賴各塾齋師宣講, 俾童蒙幼習壯行, 牢記于心.凡有所為於聖訓相合相背, 自能了然. 教忠教義, 悉基於此. 敬仰塾師宣講, 課其誦讀, 督其學楷, 查察學之日, 令其背誦背講, 如不用心講誦, 兼不敬惜字紙, 浪擲聖號, 難免驅逐. 攀桂謹識.”
