註疏 Commentary

Fanghzong shu 房中術 (techniques for inside the [bed-]chamber ) is regarded as a technique for health and longevity, and even immortality, but has been controversial.

Ye Dehui 葉德輝 (1864-1927) was a famous conservative scholar, book collector, and publisher in the late Qing Dynasty. He believed that putting pornographic pictures 春宮圖 in his book collection could prevent fire.

He has written the prefaces to each of the texts.

Shuangmei jing’an congshu has five books with a wide variety of topics, including fangzhongshu, stories of prostitutes, history, comments on literati, and so on.
