This woodblock print copy of 潘公寶卷 is damaged and missing the pages which would provide bibliographic data. It includes some commonly reprinted prefaces as well as one less commonly reproduced one, all dated to the Xianfeng (1851-1861) era, but was likely printed much later than that, as the discussion below addresses.

別名 Other Titles

This facsimile is of a fragmented edition which lacks a printed title page. The title 潘公處世寶卷, which is not attested to in other editions of the work, is in handwriting before the printed text begins. Though unclear given the nature of the facsimile, this could have been written on the cover of the volume. 潘公寶卷 is on the 版心. 李同福 refers to the text as 潘功甫先生免災救難書 and 潘公書 in his preface. The preface which follows it, as well as the title given on the first page of each volume, call it 潘公免災救難寶卷.

註疏 Commentary

Lacking a title page, this specific copy of 潘公寶卷 does not have sufficient publication information to include much in the infobox. However, based upon comparing woodblock cracks and other damage in the facsimile images with my (Katherine's) photos from archival research in 2011, this is a damaged copy of either a Showa 10 (1934) reprint using blocks produced by Songyun xuan 鬆雲軒 in 台灣府 (present day Tainan, Taiwan), carved with the date 1862, or an even later undated use of the same blocks. The complete copy that I am comparing this facsimile with is held at the Tainan Public Library 台南圖書館. This facsimile was made from a copy that was printed with blocks that were in worse condition than the Tainan Library copy, with more cracks and muddled areas.
